FAQ

What is Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)?
PDR is a method used to remove dents, dings, and hail damage without the need for sanding, filler, or repainting. Using specialized tools, Robert gently massages the metal back to its original shape, keeping your vehicle’s factory paint intact.
-
What types of dents can you fix?
Most small to medium dents can be repaired using PDR, including door dings, hail damage, and minor creases — as long as the paint isn’t cracked or chipped. Send us a photo and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
-
How long does a repair take?
Smaller dents can often be fixed in under an hour. Larger or multiple dents, such as hail damage, can take a few hours to a couple of days depending on the extent of the damage.
-
Is PDR cheaper than a body shop?
Yes. PDR typically costs 50–70% less than traditional body shop repairs because it doesn’t require new paint or filler. It’s faster, more affordable, and keeps your original paint job intact.
-
Will my dent come back?
No. Once a dent is repaired properly using PDR, it’s permanently removed. The panel is restored to its original shape and will stay that way.
-
Do you repair hail damage?
Yes! We specialize in hail repair and work with all major insurance companies. We can help with your claim and make the process as simple and stress-free as possible.
-
Does PDR show up on Carfax?
No, most PDR repairs do not appear on Carfax, since no paintwork or structural repair is involved. This helps maintain your car’s clean history and resale value.
-
Do you offer mobile service?
Yes! Dent Dash offers mobile PDR service — we can come to your home, workplace, or shop. We also have a shop location available if you prefer to drop off your vehicle.
